Ron is the lead pastor of the College Heights Church in Lacombe, and has volunteered since 1998. He has travelled with A Better World three times to Africa, as well as to Belize, Haiti, and Louisiana.
“I volunteer for the privilege of learning from other people and cultures, and to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.”
Kelvin is a dentist who has volunteered since 2004, travelling many times to Kenya and Belize and once to Louisiana after the Katrina disaster. He owns the Sylvan Lake Dental Centre and lives in Lacombe, Alberta.
“I find inspiration from being associated with such a dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to making the world a better place.”
Eric is a co-founder of A Better World and has been on 55 trips to developing nations around the globe. He is the president of Advanced Systems and lives in Lacombe.
“I want to give back because much has been given to me.”
Brian is a co-founder of A Better World and has travelled several times to Thailand and Africa. He is currently retired and lives in Lacombe, Alberta.
“A dream was developed 25 years ago to do something to make the world a better place. ABW has been the fulfillment of that dream.”
Julie volunteered with A Better World in 2010 before becoming an employee. A resident of Lacombe, Alberta, she has travelled to Kenya three times.
“While travelling with ABW, I’ve seen firsthand how a little help can make a big difference in improving the lives of those less fortunate.”
Jacqui graduated from Burman University in 2016. She was interning with A Better World for 3 years and began working full-time after graduation. She has travelled to Kenya 4 times and taught at a high school near Nairobi for 10 months.
