About the project

Located 635KM north of Kabul, Afghanistan is this inspiring girls’ school. 2,500 girls attend this school in two shifts. There was insufficient classrooms and the younger children were studying in tents. The day we were there, rain was pouring and water was leaking into the tents.  The girls kept on with the classes.

Our involvement

Starting in 2009, the existing classrooms were refurbished. After that, six tents were replaced and additional classrooms built. The most recent phase is the refurbishment of more classrooms.
