Sunday November 18, 2018 – Project visits in Rwanda

Our team arrived in Rwanda yesterday evening. Our first visit was to a school in Kigali managed and mostly funded by Debra Brosseuk of Kelowna, BC. There are 1800 students at the school. We have helped furnish a library with new books. A dining hall was also completed along with water tanks.

We then drove north to see the progress at the Umutara Deaf School. We were greeted with a dance from the children.

Our latest project here is two dorms – one for girls and one for boys.

When the children with hearing impairment graduate and receive training from the vocational school we helped set up, they can work in the nearby town in their respective vocations. We went to see their successful businesses. Both a hair dressing salon and a tailoring shop have been opened!
