Earlier this week, Executive Director Eric Rajah travelled to Delta, British Columbia to celebrate with the Sunshine Hills Elementary School. For many years, Sunshine Hills and its students have banded together to raise money for numerous A Better World projects. This year, they set a goal of raising $5,000. As they so often have before, Sunshine Hills students went above and beyond to make a difference and the school ended up doubling their goal, collecting $10,000 to be used for the construction of school libraries and laboratories in developing communities. To date, Sunshine Hills students and staff have raised a grand total of $210,000 for sustainable development projects with A Better World Canada. A Better World is grateful to the Sunshine Hills Elementary School for all of their hard work over the years. Their passion and energy for making the world a better place that has been exemplified by these young people is truly inspiring and it is a privilege to look forward to all they will accomplish in the future.
Thank you Sunshine Hills for your extraordinary communal effort and congratulations on achieving – and far exceeding – your goal!
