New Solar & Toilets

Endoinyio Erinka Clinic

About the Project: The Endoinyio Erinka Clinic, constructed by ABW in 2012, is in need of significant repairs and upgrades. The building has degraded, and its windmill-powered well was damaged, possibly by elephants. While the well is now active again, the clinic’s pit latrines are unusable and there is no solar lighting for after-hours care. To meet the local board’s request, this project will provide general maintenance, install solar power for lighting and refrigeration, and build four long-lasting septic toilets for patient use, enabling the clinic to operate safely at night.

About the Site: The Endoinyio Erinka Clinic is located in the Maasai Mara region of Kenya. Intervention first began at the site in 2012 when a new clinic building and deep water well were built at the site.
