Eric’s Blog – January 23

We did more visiting and seeing projects before our 4 hour drive to the Kilimanjaro airport.
We visited schools that need assistance.  Parents do what they can and then we partner with them.

Parents have taken more than 5 years to get these classrooms to this stage.

We are upgrading toilets, with hand washing stations, in all of the schools we are building.

We dropped Dr. Ray Comeau off at the Kilimanjaro airport for his flight home to Canada. Gord and I got a small plane and headed back to Nairobi, then drove to Nakuru.  Once we got here we invited some of our beneficiaries to join us for dinner.

Gord is visiting with Janet and Lawrence is holding Natalie Hinga.

Judy and John Hinga with Christian and Natalie 1 year and 3 months old.
John was one of the victims of the post election violence 10 years ago. “A Better World supported me and got me through school.  I have a job now and a family”,  says John. “ I thank all of the people that supported me so I can have a new life”.

Tomorrow we begin work in Kericho for the day.
