We began our journey on rough roads, for one and a half hours each way. We opened a new school with three classrooms and opened another four classrooms at an existing school. Both were very encouraging to us to see the commitment of the community for education. Naikara Primary School now has 2,025 students. They also have a classroom and training for children with disabilities. The students performed Maasai dances, and the school has won several awards for music and art.
Classrooms at both schools were built by. Gord Bontje and Kate Bontje family.
We also visited the Nikarra Health Center, where dental work will be monitored by Dr. Kelvin Hill next week. The dental team has now joined us, and we’ll be traveling together. We had a good dinner under the stars this evening.
