Karen and her husband, Henry, have been donors and supporters of ABW since the earliest years. Karen is a physiotherapist with Lacombe Physiotherapy Clinic in central Alberta.
Karen initially volunteered with her father, Ken Hill, at the Nyaburi School for the Physically Handicapped in 1991. Since 2012 she has traveled to ABW rehabilitation projects in Kenya annually with a team of therapists to provide training and support for children with physical disabilities. She currently coordinates ABW rehabilitation and surgery projects at Kendu Adventist Hospital, Nyaburi School, and Ndanai Small Home in Kenya and enjoys connecting Kenyan and Canadian therapists to cooperatively improve care for disabled children.
“I have seen disabled children transformed and believe that we can make a difference one life at a time.”
