Gatimu Special Needs School
About the Project: Gatimu Special School for Intellectual and Physical Disabilities is a new partner school for A Better World, located in Ol-jororok, Kenya. The school provides education and care for 120 students with intellectual and physical disabilities. As a boarding school, it plays an important role in meeting both the educational and daily living needs of its students. This greenhouse will provide the students with food, agriculture learning, and a way to make money
About the Site: The school is in need of several improvements to support the health, safety, and daily needs of its students. The proposed projects include building a new kitchen, constructing accessible toilets, and providing wheelchairs and other accessible devices. These improvements will help create a safer, more accessible environment for the students.
