Ole Polos

About the Project: The Ole Polos area has long suffered from water shortages. Although there is a reliable water source within the Eburu Forest, the main distribution pipeline covering about 4km has been damaged and is now non-functional. This has forced the local communities to travel more than 4km daily in search of water. This burden falls on women and children who carry water on their backs. This daily struggle has significantly affected school attendance and performance, as pupils often spend mornings fetching water instead of attending class.

About the Site: Ole Polos is a site of an ABW school. This water pump will allow two nearby learning institutions to benefit from the water. The schools have a combined population of over 1,000 students who will be provided by these pumps
