Clinic Building Renovation
Leshuta Clinic
About the Project: Leshuta Clinic serves 4,900 Maasai people and was referred to ABW by trusted community contacts. Major renovations are needed to make the clinic safe and functional, including repairs to the main structure, roof, and doors. ABW will renovate the clinic to better serve the community’s needs.
About the Site: Leshuta is a remote Masai village in Kenya’s Rift Valley, near Tanzania. Its small clinic, run by two nurses, serves about 4,900 local Maasai and 1,500 others, including some from Tanzania. The area is rural and hard to reach, with poor roads making emergency referrals difficult. The clinic needs major renovations to be safe and functional, and a maternity ward project is currently on hold. ABW plans to help renovate the main clinic building to better serve the community.
