About the Project: Although ABW has made progress at Mahua, key needs remain—especially water. The school currently relies on rainwater, which is unreliable. To address this, we plan to drill a shallow well on school property, equipped with a solar pump and holding tank. This will give the school, and possibly the wider community, a more consistent and affordable source of clean water.

About the Site: Mahua Comprehensive School (formerly Mahua Primary School), established in 1991 northeast of Nakuru, serves 200 primary students and 45 ECD children. The facilities are aging and in urgent need of repair. Of eight classrooms, only two had good floors during ABW’s first visit, and one was condemned due to a collapsing roof. Both ECD levels shared a single classroom with a partition. The kitchen and staff room, built from fence boards, were exposed to the elements, and the library was used for storage.
