Ribbon cutting on kitchen at Gilgil hiway and silly chef outfits.
Most importantly the kids lining up for very first meal! They believe the greenhouse will totally support the feeding program for the 300 most vulnerable and orphaned students. What a touching moment to see this come to completion!!

Second stop today was Gilgil teachers school. A smaller celebration was held but still plenty of excitement over the completed 6 classroom project and the competition of the greenhouse structure. Soil preparation is now being done for planting of a cucumber crop in approximately 2 weeks.
It’s worth noting that before building the additional classrooms at both Gilgil schools there were classes with over 100 students in one class. These new classrooms will greatly alleviate this overcrowding. I can’t imagine as a teacher trying to reach 100 students on a daily basis.
