The day started with the visit to the special needs school that was built in 2023 to review @how things were going and to present the children with some learning tools and also see what else we could do, then we were pleasantly surprised to visit another school that we had helped complete eight years ago when it needed a roof and flooring – there are 867 students now, and what was really inspiring was to see how well the school was kept, with gardens in front of classrooms and in the court yard of the school.
We then travelled to Tanga and visited a hardware store where most of our supplies are purchased and to spot check the pricing of our classrooms and other buildings. Then it was time to take our flight to Zanzibar to spend a few days.
