About the Site
Chakareli Comprehensive School is located in the Nyaharuru area and is a new site for ABW. We have, however, worked with the head teacher, Stephen Wahome, many times before when he worked at a previous school. It has a student population of nearly 500 students and 19 teachers, with feeder ECDs off-site. The current classrooms at this school are in varying states of disrepair, but are all quite terrible. The school does have a solid borehole and other structurally sound buildings, and has good support from the parents who are eager to pitch in to make these projects happen.
