About the School

The Imara ECD School has 30 students – 13 girls and 17 boys – and one teacher in one classroom. The teacher is Beatrice Wambugu, who has been teaching for 20 years. The Ministry of Education owns the land and parents pay 250 KSH per month for their children to attend. The school is in Male near the Male Primary School.

Shortly after the opening, the school was renamed the “Maddy” E.C.D.E. Centre in memory of one of the children in the community who sadly passed away.
