KENYA: MUCHORWE PRIMARY SCHOOL

About the School

Muchorwe Primary is located northwest of Nakuru, near the community of Molo. Started in 1978, the established school has about 900 students and nearly 30 staff, but the infrastructure is aging. When first encountered by ABW, many of the 17 classrooms had leaking roofs and disintegrating floors, and the ECD was in a semi-permanent steel structure with dirt floors. The school had the luxury of a deep well available for community use, but little support for badly needed upgrades and structures such as a kitchen
