KENYA: NAKURU: KADESH BABY AND CHILDREN’S HOME

Kadesh Barnea Baby home was started by Regina Wangui in Nakuru after the post-election violence in 2007.  Regina was managing a children’s home in Nakuru and later started her own. The home’s goal is to provide care in a family atmosphere for 12 children. Three full-time caregivers plus Regina and her husband are able to have a much more personal relationship with the children. Their long-term goal is to build a small facility near Nanyuki. The couple have already purchased some land and are working towards fundraising efforts to begin construction.
