About the Site
Ndeu Comprehensive School (formerly Primary) is a small school on the eastern coast of Kenya in the Lamu region. The area population is largely indigenous or nomadic tribes that are still fairly new to public education. The school of nearly 300 students has a shallow well and a garden that is well cared for by the school. In order to provide water for the community, it needed a second well which ABW completed in January 2024. In addition, the school has other needs such as renovating existing classrooms, the construction of new classrooms, toilets, desks (for both the students and teachers), kitchen, and other various equipment. This school has a lot of potential for growth and upward mobility in the future, given the opportunity.
