KENYA: OLE KEENE BOARDING PRIMARY SCHOOL

About the School

Ole Keene Boarding Primary School has grown tremendously in under 20 years. Started in 2005 with just 10 pupils and two untrained teachers in the shade of a tree, the school’s enrollment was 280 by 2022. Located near the Sekenani Gate entry to the Maasai Mara reserve, the school is easy to access but has no NGO support. The buildings consist of small, iron-sheet buildings with open windows and concrete floors, with an iron-sheet kitchen.
