KENYA: OSARARA CLINIC

About the Site

Osarara Clinic serves a population of around 4500 people, more than half of whom are under 15 years. However, the building was condemned in 2022, and is verging on collapse. The nearest other clinic is 15 km away, and the clinical officer, Wilson Passiany, has had to walk to people’s houses to provide care, since he has no vehicle. As a result, children are missing vaccinations, and the community’s prenatal, maternal and other health care is regressing. The clinic is not far from the Naikarra Health Centre, where ABW has worked extensively. The clinic also has no nearby water.
