TANZANIA: Kwelukonge Primary School

About the Site

Kwelukonge Primary School is located approximately 22 km from the Arusha to Dar es Salaam highway. The school was built by the community in 1958 and officially registered by the government in 1959, which later contributed additional classrooms. It serves 6 villages and currently has 6 classrooms and 1 office. With a total of 800 students, this equates to over 126 students per classroom. The school has 14 toilets for students and 2 for teachers. There is an urgent need for 4 additional classrooms to accommodate the growing student population.
