In Progress : MANYATTA PRIMARY SCHOOL – 7 Classroom Renovations

About the Project

Classroom conditions at Manyatta Primary are poor and makes learning difficult for its students. The existing classrooms have old rusty iron sheets and the roof leaks during the rainy season. These classrooms are currently in use, but they urgently need renovations to allow for a better learning environment. A Better World is seeking funding to help support the students and teachers at Manyatta Primary by renovating seven classrooms. Water harvesting will also be installed to provide an additional water source for the students and staff.

Renovations began with removing the old roof, windows and doors.

The seven existing classrooms have only partial rain gutters to feed the water tank.

The roofs in the existing classrooms leak badly; the holes are like a starlit sky.

With a shortage of space, some classrooms combine classes, a library, and storage.
