Completed : MANYATTA PRIMARY SCHOOL – 7 Classroom Renovations

About the Project

Classroom conditions at Manyatta Primary were poor and made learning difficult for its students. The existing classrooms had old rusty iron sheets and the roof leaked during the rainy season. These classrooms were in use, and they urgently needed renovations to allow for a better learning environment. With donors’ support, A Better World helped the students and teachers at Manyatta Primary by renovating seven classrooms. Water harvesting was also installed to provide an additional water source for the students and staff.

The newly renovated classrooms are ready to enhance learning environment at the school.

Putting on finishing touches.

Renovations began with removing the old roof, windows and doors.

The seven existing classrooms have only partial rain gutters to feed the water tank.

With a shortage of space, some classrooms combine classes, a library, and storage.

The roofs in the existing classrooms leak badly; the holes are like a starlit sky.
