Completed : MAU SUMMIT PRIMARY SCHOOL – 6 New Classrooms

About the Project

A Better World has had the opportunity to previously work with Mau Summit Primary to renovate a seven-classroom block as well as six classrooms. Now, the school is expanding by adding 6 new classrooms to alleviate overcrowding and provide a better teaching and learning environment. Water harvesting systems will also be installed.

Some painting and cleaning up remains. The surrounding area will be a welcoming and functional outdoor space.
Windows and doors were glazed and puttied.
A concrete screed gave the floors a smooth finish.
The wooden structure that supports the metal sheet roofing went up some time ago.

With the roof going on some of the classrooms, others reached the stage of installing doors and windows and cleaning up the stone.
After the new stepped foundations were completed on the sloped land, new walls were completed.
Survey lines were marked and community members helped dig trenches for foundations.
