About the Project
The Mgwashi village is located in Korogwe Rural District in Tanzania, with a population of 4,378 people. Currently, there are three primary schools in the area, but unfortunately, there is no secondary school. The closest secondary school is located in Bungu Ward, some distance from Mgwashi. There is a great need in Mgwashi; therefore, the development of a local school will give the children of this community the ability and opportunity to attend school to further their education. A Better World is supporting this community by constructing three new classrooms for the new Mgwashi Secondary School. ABW will also install water harvesting for an additional water source. Mgwashi Secondary expects to have 260 students enrolled and six teachers – four male and two female- employed in the new school.
