Completed : NTEPES SCHOOL – 3 Classrooms

About the Project

Ntepes school accommodates 53 students (23 girls and 30 boys). It is located in a remote and poor community that lacks water and health facilities. In fact, this community often hosts mobile clinics from the Naikarra Health Centre.

Despite being quite an impoverished community, parents were able to put together enough of their funds to build a semi-permanent classroom. However, this classroom lacks proper walls to protect students from elements such as rain and wind, and it lacks electricity. This creates an unfavourable learning environment.

Therefore, A Better World is supporting the school by building 3 new classrooms and 6 new toilets. Water harvesting will also be installed, which will provide an adequate water source for the school and the community.
