About the Project
The Nyangajo Bridge was built in this community for locals crossing the river. Rainwater and flooding often made the water rise quite high and the currents flowed dangerously quickly. Pat Romerman, an Alberta engineer, designed the bridge to eliminate the need to wade across. Repairs were made on the Nyangajo Bridge in 2015, but due to heavy use and the passage of time, further, more comprehensive repairs were required. These were finalized in 2019 and now the bridge is in use once more.
