Completed : RAPOGI PRIMARY SCHOOL – Dormitory

About the Project

The number of orphaned children in the Rapogi community increased dramatically after the Rapogi Lwanda Primary School was opened in 2013.  But the orphans needed a home environment. In 2015 donors funded a dormitory for orphans with 80 beds (48 boys, 32 girls) and a house-mother. For some children, it was their first bed, with a comfortable mattress and a quilt. The quilts were sewn by a group of women in Canada who wanted to be sure that each orphan was given a quilt to keep them warm at night.
A shower block was added later.
