About the Project
Part of the essential infrastructure which dormitories require are functioning toilets and showers. These washroom facilities, built in addition to the girls’ dormitory, are of vital significance at the high school level. In remote and rural communities lacking the facilities, menstruation can often deter teenage girls from receiving the full benefits of their education. Appropriate facilities are required to meet this need and to provide an environment in which the young women attending school are able to succeed.
