About the service
Many congenital disorders such as clubfoot and spina bifida are treatable, but in rural Kenya, children with disabilities may not have access to medical services that could prevent or reverse their conditions. A Better World’s Surgery and Rehab Service aims to correct this lack of access by offering corrective surgery and post-operation rehabilitation to the children of rural Kenya.

The cost of each surgery and post-operation rehab is $300. This includes accommodation and proper nutrition at one of our three rehabilitation centers during the recovery process. The children also receive physiotherapy to ensure they gain as much mobility as possible. A rehab and physio team from Canada visits our centres at least once a year to support local staff and offer training.
