About the School
As of 2024, Shekilango Secondary School, under the leadership of Head Teacher Geofrey Ezra Temba, has a total of 875 students and 25 teachers. The school was started in 2004, built by the combined efforts of the community and government, and is about 1Km from the highway of Arusha to Dar es Salaam. It is located in Korogwe Rural District, home to about 24,284 people and does not currently have a water source nearby. The school was created to serve more than 10 villages around Mombo township. The school currently has 13 toilets for students and 1 toilet for teachers. However, they are not in good condition and not enough for the population of the school. They are in great need of 16 new toilets.
