Completed : TURKANA EDUCATION CENTER – Kitchen Extension

About the Project

The Turkana Education Centre has seen great improvements over recent years. ABW has built numerous classrooms at the centre in Lodwar, with the result of hundreds of students now attending school. A new goal of ABW is an extension of the exisitng kitchen. Adding to the kitchen and installing a large, new stove will allow staff to prepare meals for hundreds of students in a place that is protected from the elements, ensuring regular and sufficient provision of food. Additionally, a kitchen for a feeding program will attract more students to the school and improve attendance further.
