About the Project
Niyomugabo Gahungu was born in 2002 in a very poor family where parents beg in the street to make a living. He has had chronic osteomyelitis for three years. His parents have tried to bring him to the health center where he could get transfered to Kigali general hospital, but as they have no money for transportation and other hospital needs, they have been forced to leave him with his condition for the time being. Niyomugabo is currently studying in 3rd grade.
Masengesho Angelique is 13-years-old and in the 2nd grade. She has skin problems which require, according to the medical doctors reports, replacement of the skin. Now even if Angelique is at school she feels unhappy and sometimes has a stigma about how she looks. Parents have tried their best to help her but with their financial limits they couldn’t go farther.
With help from generous donors, A Better World was able to provide the required medical treatment these children needed.
