Rewarding Moments – 1
Mia McInnis is a grade 8 student from Yellowknife, NWT who was on the study tour to Kenya. She wanted to do an interview with me for a class project. I was moved by the thought provoking questions she asked. I was amazed at the background research she had done. “What makes you keep doing this work for 26 years?.” Caught off guard by this I answered “ Rewarding moments” .
Janet in 1999 left to die from burns. 16 years later she is running a successful tailoring business with a partner. I got to see it today. First and ongoing investors are Arni and Elvine Skoretz along with others. Today she is sustaining herself.
