Saturday, November 9, 2013 – Visiting Agano School and introducing small loans to students

The Monitoring and Evaluation team is now in Kenya.  This morning we visited the Agano school in the Dandora Slum in Nairobi.  ABW has been working here for over 5 years.  Today, Charlie McGeehan introduced the student version of the  table banking ( small loans) program.  Students are invited to submit applications for small loans to start a business.  40 applications were received and three students were chosen to receive the first set of loans.  Charlie spent two days developing the business plan with the students.
