Sunday, November 3, 2013 – Rwanda, Umutara Deaf school Opening of classrooms – what a great day it was

We left Kigali this morning and travelled 4 hours to Nyagatare to the deaf school.  It was a very emotional experience as we heard stories of the challenges this school faced.  Eight students graduated from the standard six after successfully completing the national exams.  We had the graduation ceremony as well.  Lacombe Rotarians, partner donors for this project were on hand.

Thanks to all the donors.  The date on this sign refers to the date it was completed.
