Thursday, October 24, 2013 – Turkana Education Centre opening in Lodwar

Our purpose of making this trip to Lodwar was to open a school for the Turkana People.  The school, kitchen and dining room is a gift from Rick, Sharon and Andrew Wiebe and the their staff of  Carpet Colour Centre, Lacombe Rotary Club and a Better World.

It was a very hot day and we were thankful for the breeze.

This is where we stayed
